[HOWTO] install HTC keyboard on non Sense ROM (pics)

Hello all...I hate the standard Android keyboard, but love HTC's, I've written this guide in other threads but it'll be lost in posts....so here it is in its own location. Please say thanks if you use this.

The HTC_IME.apk to use is here (Rapidshare) Subsequent versions of HTC_IME won't work on non sense ROM.

ADB is here: (Rapidshare)

create a directory on your pc and extract adb.rar and place htc_ime.apk there

open cmd.bat and type:

adb remount

adb install -r HTC_IME.apk

The -r is optional, just ensures it'll install and you won't get install failed.

Reboot the phone

Now hit the menu key ->settings -> language & keyboard -> tick "Touch Input"

hold down menu key until android keyboard appears -> hold the "?123" key on keyboard

select "input method" -> select "touch input" -> et voila, HTC keyboard on non sense ROM
