Guest darknessviking Posted January 26, 2010 Report Posted January 26, 2010 I dont want to delete any of them but the phone is starting to get REALLY slow..I dont know if its because i have a lot of sms's and stuff, but,I think it it. is there any way to export them to the computer? I used to use a program called Mobileedit to extract it... but it wont recognize the b7610. please help!
Guest b7610_fan Posted January 26, 2010 Report Posted January 26, 2010 That's because you are using the samsung skinned sms application. I have +2000 sms messages, and windows default sms application is extremly fast.
Guest darknessviking Posted January 26, 2010 Report Posted January 26, 2010 yeah that could be the case..but I still would like to have a program or something to export the stuff :)
Guest b7610_fan Posted January 26, 2010 Report Posted January 26, 2010 use microsoft myphone. it will sync all your sms messages. if you do a hard reset, login to myphone and it will sync all your sms messages again.. and really fast to!.
Guest darknessviking Posted January 29, 2010 Report Posted January 29, 2010 does anyone know? i cant be the only one that has a lot of sms's that i want to backup ..
Guest FortKnox101 Posted January 30, 2010 Report Posted January 30, 2010 I've always used PPCPimPackup to backup and restore all my SMS, Contacts etc...works great with the b7610. Check it out.
Guest darknessviking Posted January 31, 2010 Report Posted January 31, 2010 ms myphone not good enough? I dont want to only have it online, but on my computer :) as far as I saw,it would only be online somewhere....or did i miss anything? fortknox: thanks, ill try it out !
Guest b7610_fan Posted January 31, 2010 Report Posted January 31, 2010 As far as I know there aren't any good sms backup software who let you also view the txt messages on you computer. pimbackup allows you to extract them, but on your pc's you will not be able to view them. It is correct, myphone does a online backup / sync. no export function yet.
Guest ilara Posted January 31, 2010 Report Posted January 31, 2010 Try Samsung PC Studio http://www.samsungmobile.co.uk/mobile-phones/omnia-pro-b7610 Cheers,
Guest b7610_fan Posted January 31, 2010 Report Posted January 31, 2010 samsung pc studio is extremly poorly written. caution when you also have MMS messages in your SMS inbox. (pc studio doesn't handle them well ) Also caution if you decide to sync you contacts. PC studio doesn't support long names etc while windowsmobile & outlook do. The syncing sms function is extremly!!!! slow if you have +1000 sms messages.
Guest darknessviking Posted January 31, 2010 Report Posted January 31, 2010 b7610: wow...pccmbackup-program worked! but i have to open the file in microsoft excel to be able to look at them! :) does the samsung pc studio have a sms-importer? my version is "NEW samsung pc studio" and it is crap..it looks very good, but i can barely see any use for it sadly :/
