Rooting the original firmware

Hello,

I'm thinking of moving over to the modded rom, but want to take along the stuff that's allready on my phone, and leave it updateable in the market... so I tried using Titanium to do this, but that requires root-privilegies to be active to run... is there a way to root the firmware I'm allready running?

Go to the rooted version of the rom you have and flash with your recovery image, it will maintain all your settings and apps.
