Guest tihsamikah Posted January 27, 2010 Report Posted January 27, 2010 (edited) Hi All, I attempted to root my A1 using http://android.modaco.com/content/acer-liq...th-your-liquid/, and all seemed to work fine (onscreen output on the phone said everything was fine), but when I went and rebooted, and constantly went into boot loop?? (acer screen, then android screen), I then tried to flash the recovery image ( which it said went ok), and but that doesn't boot into? (the screen with the checksum verfication, right?) all partitions have the correct checksum... out of frustration I flashed the boot, recovery, and system partition with the Acer 1.008 EMEA-GEN1 Rom but still no dice B) it can get into the bootloader no problems, but it doesn't do anything else :D does anyone have any ideas? EDIT: I'm a complete bogan!!!! after getting home from work, and actually doing a proper search (bloody hard over a ssh console link using links :) flashing with the alternate superboot image seems to have done the trick!! wooo!!!!!!!!!!!!! Guest whqs Posted January 27, 2010 Report Posted January 27, 2010 (edited) There are two superboot,I think your may use 1.4-liquid-superboot. But if you're buy your liquid in Asia like HK, you should use this one 1.1-liquid-alternate-superboot.It can be found in this forum. Edited January 27, 2010 by whqs
Guest three_pineapples Posted January 27, 2010 Report Posted January 27, 2010 Sorry about the confusing instructions in my guide. I've added a note in my guide about AAP CSL roms needing to use alternate superboot! :)
