Guest -Wii- Posted January 28, 2010 Report Posted January 28, 2010 Hi New User here :) So I tried to push some information out of them Via email the other day and you do have to wonder if they just make it up. The guy basically said that Huawei are currently in the process of building the ROM and that he expects it to be handed over to T-Mobile for them to make their modifications shortly. How would Mr Patel who works in a high rise office in India know that exactly when no one else seems to know. After then Asking him if I could purchase a spare battery from T-Mobile and then informing him that it isn't very good for them to not sell spares. He said that if my battery was broken it had a 6 month guarantee, and that I could get it replaced. Wasn't really what I asked was it? And secondly surely it has a 1 year Guarantee as it is an electrical good? why does the phone have a year and the battery 6 months? what happens if the GPS breaks does that only have a 2 week Guarantee? what about the trackball 7 days? Seems like a load of tripe to me no? My second bit of advice is in regards of the sale team, if you are trying to score a deal with them just keep ringing them back, some of them seem to be a lot more lenient than others. I rang them up and said; right I want that pulse yea, Ive been prating about for a week trying to get one in store not paying for any top ups either and I want it on my doorstep tomorrow morning. I am not paying for it now stick £120 on my phone bill. Problem? No sir thank you and goodbye. Anyone else had experiences of them just lying to you?
Guest robot1000 Posted January 28, 2010 Report Posted January 28, 2010 The battery is different from the rest, as a battery's life diminishes with use. For that reason it's exempt from the standard warranty
Guest michlaustn Posted January 28, 2010 Report Posted January 28, 2010 The vast majority battery operated products have different warranty periods between the actual device and the battery its self.
Guest -Wii- Posted January 28, 2010 Report Posted January 28, 2010 My battery seems to be a bit of a pain with the charger. As mentioned on here it continues to run down even whilst plugged in! Is it worth getting replaced on them circumstances or will they all be the same?
Guest Sengadog Posted January 28, 2010 Report Posted January 28, 2010 The battery is different from the rest, as a battery's life diminishes with use. For that reason it's exempt from the standard warranty This may be true, but, if your battery failed after 7 months and you then couldn't by a spare then this will deem your phone useless, and you would probably have a case under the Sale of Goods Act, epspecially if you are on a contract.
