Guest starkos Posted January 28, 2010 Report Posted January 28, 2010 (edited) I've found a weird bug and was wondering if someone with a task manager could plz try and replicate it for me? Basically if you connect to a pc with bluetooth and send a file to your phone, if you watch your task manager you should see 'Contacts' appear in the list. I've also found that the phone runs a little sluggish as well and Contacts doesn't seem to close automatically in the background. But the main issue is that if you use your task manager to kill/close 'Contacts', when you return to the home screen it restarts (the home screen not the phone) and in the app drawer thingy all the apps refresh just like when the phone is first booted? I know it's a weird one but would appreciate it if someone could see if they can replicate it.. I'm on 1.7 U8230 by the way :) Edit: Seems to do the restarting home screen thing whenever you kill contacts in a task manager even if you opened contacts yourself, pretty sure it never used to do that on older roms?? Guest Jankov Posted January 28, 2010 Report Posted January 28, 2010 i have that problem too. i didn't know it was the Contacts application that was making the problem. I use AdvancedTaskManager. I'll try to exclude the Contacts app and see if that fixes the problem.
Guest ion_immortal Posted January 28, 2010 Report Posted January 28, 2010 me too... on Pulse with 1.7 8230rom.
Guest starkos Posted January 28, 2010 Report Posted January 28, 2010 Yea I'm using advanced task manager as well, the main reason I don't want it excluded is that it sometimes causes the phone to go laggy and is using valuable ram. Its just weird that android's built in system of killing tasks only works for the Contacts app when you've opened it your self, but when it opens through using bluetooth as mentioned in my post above android will never automatically close it :)
