Problem? activate the screen takes a long time.

I've found that each time when i press MENU to activate the screen, it took a long time( about 2 second even nearly 3 second) to turn on the screen, and have no concern with whether i install many software on the SD card or none. But my friend's G1 does not like this. it turns on immediatly, in less than 0.5s.

Why? Is this normal? Does everyone's Pulse just like me or not?

I'm on 1.7 U8230 rom by the way .

Mine takes about 1 second. I'm on 1.7 MCR Vanilla and not running any 3rd party widgets/apps in background

I'm running the stock Pulse with just the Dec update, and it takes no time (poss 0.5 sec)

Yea it takes a while for me on 1.7 U8230 as well. So what I do now is press menu key then as soon as the lights round the buttons show I press it again, which unlocks the phone without going to the swipe screen - much quicker for me :)
