Guest Boneyneil Posted January 28, 2010 Report Posted January 28, 2010 Hi All, As a complete novice I really should have come to this site first, however I decided to try and do everything my self with my new Pulse. I managed to do the T mobile 1.5 update with a few mistakes but got there in the end. I decided that the next step would be the 1.7 Modaco update and things seemed to go allright though it was like feeling around in the dark, but everything uploaded fine. From now on I was way out of my depth, but continued by partitioning my 4GB SD card, which seemed to go allright. The phones memory had increased to 80mb but I could'nt find where the remainder of 4GB was. I tried to download an app and the message came up that I had no SD card installed, then one by one my installed apps were being forced closed. What have I done wrong or what have'nt I done ?? Is there anyone out there that can help by explaining in plain non tech terms what my next step should be. :) Thanks
Guest chucky.egg Posted January 28, 2010 Report Posted January 28, 2010 The 80Mb of memory is "RAM", not storage, and so doesn't include your SD card Assuming the SD card is correctly inserted... I'd say the most likely thing is that the formatting of the SD hasn't worked - did you create an EXT2/3/4 partition? it may be that the start/end positions you gave weren't valid for some reason. If you haven't already you could try formatting the card in the device, or re-formatting via your PC.
