Hi frm me and my HTC Magic !

hi everyone, im Faraz aka Baron 1 frm the uk currently living in pakistan.

For the past 5 years i have been an Symbian fan boy, used many mobiles, all symbian (mostly nokia), however after recently selling my nbokia 5800 i decided to buy this htc magic, as it was on the android platform and everyone is tawkin android these days!!. dont tell me u shudve got the htc hero no, as thats to expensive fr me lol! im jus a student after all!!

ANYWAY what i want you guys to help me with is that:

1-this fone is branded with vodafone, any way i can debrand it, install default firmware like i did in symbian?? coz i guess vodafone have probably crippled the fone down ad they do with nokia and sony ericsson ones! (ill need a tutorial, if u cud gimme links please)

2- any customizations?? like adding extra widgets etc??

3- i heard u can flash the whole rom and users have customised the firmware and created their own versions, could you please tel me where to look for those and how to try them out.

ill be very glad if you guys help me out as i am a total noob when it comes to android!! anyway ill be abck to chk the progress, have a great day all!! thanks !!
