Guest Emexrulsier Posted January 29, 2010 Report Posted January 29, 2010 (edited) I am a keen follower of the Android os for the Omnia and was pleased to see over at XDANDROID they have developed a dual boot app to make life a bit easier. Just wondering if anyone has tested it on their Omnia, yes I know there isn't one to suite the Omnia screen Res but some will work. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=623792 Edited January 29, 2010 by Emexrulsier
Guest cosminnn Posted January 29, 2010 Report Posted January 29, 2010 You need to have already installed Android on your Omnia (ANDROMNIA) ... this is just a boot loader, it will give you the option to choose between WM and Android. Also this software is not WQVGA compatible ... yet.

I know this app is only the boot loader, but I just stumbled across this today and I am very interested in getting Android running on my device, with or without Gen Y. Thanks for any info!!

There are sticky threads on this forum about Andromnia ... for now you can install it, but it is not a full working version ... read more on the threads.
Guest Abqcub Posted February 3, 2010 Report Posted February 3, 2010 Andromnia is still getting on its legs. It doesn't have support for a lot of things to make it even somewhat usable. Its moving slowly due to a limited number of people who are programming the drivers for it, unlike HTC phones where the drivers are already available. Once running, I'm sure they'll use the same dual boot option that is on HTC devices. Also android and its apps will work any size resolution as of Android 2.0
