orange omnia

hi.. total noob here so bare with me.....

iv just bought a second hand omnia thats on orange firmware bvhh1v, iv been on the samsung website and it says bvhh1 is recognised and i.....now iv read that i have to change that to something else but im totaly clueless.

id also like to put win6.5 at a later date and im clueless with that also.

is there a totaly idiot proof nooby guide to sorting the bvhh1 out first?, and i mean a absolute step by step idiots guide to putting new firmware on lol

plz dont shout at me for not lookin on the site as all i need is probably here, but iv had a look and got 20 different answers and im very confused..

hope you can help me sort my omnia out cos if i cant il just have to sell it again

I also had this terrible firmware on my phone, fortunately this website has been very useful.

This is proSPAMly the best one I have found, and the one i use for my point of reference.

Also there was one posted the other day which had videos showing you how it is done. Search is your friend!

jesus..........firstly i run a mac....in bootcamp iv got win7.... then that wants me to put vmware and put a full version ox xp on it???? what a mess about that is?..

looks like im going to take win7 off and put xp on so im doing half the messing about.

DONE THAT AND XP IS UP AND RUNNING......ONLY THING I CANT GET NOW IS THE MODEM DRIVER OF RAPIDSHARE GRRRRRRRRRRRRR........
