Dec update fixed my call quality, and then I installed 1.7MCR Vanilla about a month ago. Having just spent an hour on phone, was struck by how bad the sound quality was.

How is it for everyone else? (If you respond please include what ROM you're running).

I'm sorry to imply it's the MCR, I'm hoping the responses tell us one way or the other.

Thanks!

MCR = MoDaCo Custom ROM

You're on the same as me then. Thanks for responding.

My feeling is that the T-Mobile ROM (Dec update) was better in this regard. However without hearing them side-by-side, it's hard to say for sure.

I haven't really noticed much difference to be honest. I have to generally have the in-call volume turned right down to avoid distortion; this was the same with the stock ROM, 1.7 and the 1.8 Beta 2 I'm running at the moment. To be fair though both my wife and son have Sagem phones and the mic is very responsive (flippin loud).
