after repeated physical abuse to my omnia, (omnia is an extremely durable phone) after one particularly severe drop i had to replace the touch screen because it was cracked, i replaced everything correctly and the touchscreen and all works perfectly, but i dont know if prior to this touch screen replacement this happened but, the sim card holder got somehow separated from the mother board but it is still connected on one side of it, the other side can be lifted up, it wont recognize any sim card nor willl it realize the sim card is missing it simply says the phone is off, i put a sim card in and no matter the amount of pressure i apply it wont recognize it, my question is; is there a way to fix this? if not does anyone have a motherboard up for sale? im a newb here.....

Well, I do have a motherboard, but the touchscreen plug is damaged. So you still would need some work to do...

mine came seperated yesterday when i mounted a new touch panel. it came out of the motherboard on one side. It clipped back in when i applied enough pressure to it. Yours should just clip in unless the plastic clip on the motherboard is broken.

Don't think so, and if you want a new motherboard it'll cost you 150+ euro. Cheaper to buy another one.

so the terminals that touch the sim card are detatched too? if so, i dont like your chances of repair. places can do it. unsure of cost though

Secondhand Omnia's here are about 100 euro's, definately cheaper :)
