Removing the Popup Letters

hey everyone,

Does anybody know how to get rid of the popup letters that occur when you type a key? I accidentally stumbled across the ability to disable it...however it was a glitch (I installed the i900 keyboard, but it wouldn't work with google maps nor opera 10, so I uninstalled it and the popup letters were magically gone from the omnia lite keyboard i installed it over). This made me wonder...is there a registry entry to disable the popups? I've been looking around in the registry, but so far with no luck.

Any ideas?
