SMS Recipient limit?

Hi,

I'm blown away with this limit! My pulse (with stock t-mobile rom, unlocked on o2) spits the dummy on sending to more than 8 contacts. I can select more but it hits a 10 contact limit and then fails to send on the last 2. Is this how it is designed? This is a real problem for me as I send to groups of people quite regularly!
