Questions..

If I'm not interested in live wallpapers, amazon mp3 and facebook would my phone be stable ?

Base in what I have read my best bet is to bake ERE27 ROM + SuperBoot + HIMEM ? would this also include Titanium Backup and tethering ? I only see this options in CyanogenMod v5.0 Beta 4 online kitchen and NOT in the new one Stock ROM ERE27 for Nexus One online kitchen.

If am understanding this correctly there are two different ROMS "Stock ROM ERE27" and "CyanogenMod v5.0 Beta 4 "

Questions: Would the CyanogenMod v5.0 Beta 4 include the latest update by google ?

OK So hopefully after this questions are clarify and I finally bake a ROM how to load to my Nexus one,

Do I unzip ? or not ?

where do I transfer in the SD card ?

Once transfer what to press to install Rom ?

Im sure a new cyanogen update will be out in the next couple of days though, based on the new update.

Nope it doesnt yet, the update was only released last night, Cyanogen hasnt had anytime to do anything with it.

PS Putting a custom rom on your phone means that you have to unlock the bootloader, this VOID's the warranty on the phone.

Well the first step would be unlocking the bootloader, this is the bit that voids the warranty.

Make sure to follow all the steps to the letter!!!! Its very important that you dont jump around or skip anything.

1. Unlocking the bootloader, on the sticky here:

2. Install the recovery image, found here:

that then follow the kitchen details to customize your ROM.

About Facebook app. I have been reading in those forum (can't remember exactly where, though) that removing Facebook would make the regular Contacts application not working properly. Iirc, it was with Cyanogen version...

Anyways, you can try to flash with a rom without Facebook and if contacts are messed up, or keep crashing, trying adding Facebook.

48 hrs still no "Unlocking" this is Knocking Futs, I have tried everything in the menu still no luck, this supposed to be the easiest unlock, WHAT AM I DOING WRONG, PLEASE HELP. "I'm I the dumbest member here ? probably NOT..

I have slowly follow all the instructions and no luck guys no matter what I do.

I have a Mac with an xp partition via VMware Fusion, i have try both mac/xp site I have enable USB, I could see it even when am in bootloader mode I connect and disconnect and I could clearly see usb in red going on and off, after a google search most rooting tutorial would link back to this place, no doubt in my mind that am in the right place..

I giving up, I really want the full potential of this cool device but no luck

Any other possible way to do this "different guides" ?
