Guest DistortedLoop
I'm sorry that I didn't have a textfile or an Excel Sheet with complete % and in and outs and that I can't give you an experimental answer. It's my feling of using it for a week. But: I don't go back to the MCR ROM, if it isn't complete themeable. I've spend hours for themeing the nexus and with MCR i can't use it. Thanks. I didn't need a spreadsheet! LOL. Just wondering how you came up with that feeling. Hope I didn't offend by asking. I think I'm going to wipe my N1 of CM_5.0.2 and see what MCR_1.6 is like. I've not used any MCR, just the superboot was my first mod, then all Cyanogen after that.
Guest AndyCr15
@Paul: Have you seen the Undervolt Thread over at XDA? Is that something for your rom? It sounds awesome!! http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=634587 I'd really like if you gave it a go. Seems to make sense. I tried it, but even though I followed instructions, it seemed to just shut off my WiFi :D If you baked it in, that'd be cool. Thanks.

Just do a Nandroid backup of your ROM first. That way you can always go back if you don't like MCR 1.6.

Guest _JD_
You can always try to uninstall it from the App Manager? :D It's called Touch Input afaik. I used the version that is installed from Recovery therefore not appear in installed applications (also in App Manager Pro). I could erase the apk from /system/app but I'm not sure that in this way the application is completely removed.

Guest DistortedLoop
Is anyone using this ROM (MCR 1.6) able to see and/or connect to ad-hoc networks with their Nexus One? I've read this thread and wonder if the ini file fix is something Paul might build into to future ROMs if others have the issue: http://android.modaco.com/content/google-n...to-ad-hoc-wifi/

Guest AndyCr15
How do i change the calendar start of the week from Sunday to Monday? Really? I want the reverse :D If your locale is set to US it defaults as Sunday, UK and it defaults to Monday, no way to manually set it... which seems ridiculous to me. If I want Friday as first day, I should be able to select it (I used to need this when working in cinema for example)

Guest DistortedLoop
There's a bug in the HTC_IME keyboard with voice input. They've updated the apk to version 5 over on xda. I experienced the bug with Paul's ROM. Symptoms for me were that trying to use voice input with the HTC keyboard active resulted in no more than 1-3 words being picked up and translated at a time. I manually removed (with adb) the one included in the kitchen here and replaced with version 5 [removed text] EDIT: I take that back, the bug is still there. Even with the newer version 5, with the HTC keyboard active, I cannot dictate more than one or two words at a time. Switch input method to stock, I can dictate a whole paragraph no problems. Guest DistortedLoop
I used the version that is installed from Recovery therefore not appear in installed applications (also in App Manager Pro). I could erase the apk from /system/app but I'm not sure that in this way the application is completely removed. You'll also want to uninstall Clicker.apk (if it was installed - I'm not sure Paul includes it). There's also the .htcime file that should be in the root of your SD card. There might be some configuration files for touch calibration and the keyboard's dictionary (learned spelling suggestions). I'm not sure where those would be placed. In OS X that kind of stuff goes into the /library/preferences folder, but I haven't poked around enough the Android system files to be that familiar yet). You'd probably get quicker answers over on xda where there's a guy maintaining this as a separate app package. There's a later version over there that looks to have corrected a bug in the kitchen version here. If you're not familiar with that site, be sure to read through the posts in the thread and use the search - they can get pretty intolerant about "that's already been asked" on some questions, and how to remove it manually has already been at least partially answered. ;-)

Guest Common Sense
@ Paul Would it be possible for you to take out all the google applications of the htc rom and pack it to a zip file? I know HTC has translated the apps themselves, I am looking to install the gapps in my nexus one so I have 100% translated instead instead of some google apps that default back to english. Would be awesome if you could extract the google apps :D Thanks a lot for your hard work paul! Edited February 21, 2010 by Common Sense
