Guest AdamG_Rocco Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 Hi, I just picked up a T-Mobile G2 Touch 2nd hand, seems to be in very good condition and I got it for a pretty good price. I use a Vodafone Contract Sim so I bought an unlock code off ebay so I can now make phone calls and send txts etc. However, when I ask Vodafone to send the settings down so I can use my data budle and MMS capability, The Phone will not recieve the text messages. If I put my Sim in my old phone they are recieved ok. Any ideas why this may be? The only reason I can think of is that the T-Mobile software phone is blocking the messages. That brought me here with the intention of rooting the phone. I have read through some of the step by step guides but nothing seems to work properly. I've never done anything like this before (other than flashing Motherboard Bios etc) even the threads in this "Absolute beginners" section are bewildering, is there a glossary on here of terms and acronyms used? as it's all very confusing. Phone Info. Firmware v1.5 Baseband version 63.18.55.06FU_6.35.07.08 Kernel version 2.6.27-0078c992 htc-kernel@and18-2 #821 Build number 2.73.110.26 CL#69351 Software version 1.0.0.A6288
