All stock ROMs should have the android market.
Guest b1ck132 Posted February 7, 2010 Report Posted February 7, 2010 Not really, the turkish stock ROM lacks Market as well. And mate, your version, kind of suggests that you will have to downgrade to 405.5 series ROM with GoldCard method, and then try to Root. New ROM's block rooting.

I'm pretty sure I had a "too high" version number when I first rooted. I actually didn't root; I used flashrec to change recovecery image (don't know why it doesn't require root) and then flash it with a ROM which was already rooted. Have you tried to download flashrec from the phone and open it from the browser downloads screen? Edited February 7, 2010 by Repp

No Not anymore look at http://theunlockr.com/2009/08/27/how-to-ro...o-in-one-click/ and read point 2 "IF YOUR HAVE FIRMWARE 2.73.x.x OR ABOVE, THIS PROCEDURE NOW WORKS FOR YOU SUPPOSEDLY, PLEASE TEST AND LET US KNOW!" So it is possible to get it working, i did it for someone else and worked.

Well, the 405.5 ROM I was suggesting to downgrade is 2.73.405.5 which is a 2.73.x.x ROM Newer 2.73 series stock ROM's (like the Turkish one I'm speaking of, or the TMO version) does have problems with flashrec as well. Speaking of experience, the only way for me to root my 2.73.468.x ROM, was the Gold Card method to downgrade to 2.73.405.5 and then use flashrec. This has been long discussed in Androidforums as well =)

The only way to do it is to use a Goldcard as nothing else works. It's pretty simple to do if you follow the instructions in the threads. Worked first time for me, managed to downgrade to another stock ROM and then was able to use Flashrec
Guest quiard Posted February 8, 2010 Report Posted February 8, 2010 goldcard method worked, now I'm using 2.73.405.5 version. I'll try mcr later. thanks http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=572683
