I have my 3.2 Beta 5 MoDaCo Custom ROM running quite nicely at the moment. A month or two ago I tried out the android 2.1 roms from HTC pedia but found them very unstable. Was just wondering what everyone thinks the best custom rom is at the moment?

Every time I go to change rom's I see that peeps have issues with them. I know that I can do a android backup and revert back to it if the new rom is no good but just wanted to find out what you guys think is best at the moment.

My main rom at this moment is Aych tee see's 2.1 based on 1.5 After that it is MCR 3.2.

I also tried different 2.1 Roms But the main problem for me is that Blutooth calling isn't working yet and there were problems with net location and Gmail push. Thats why i'm still at a 1.5 rom. I am waiting for ckdroid beta2 to give that a try

For me so far, the best ROM is MCR 3.2 the one which you are using. It is stable as well as very fast in terms of performance.

Are you sure you are running 3.2? You are not premium.

Is there any rom I should try out???

Cyanogen-Hero-1.0 gets my vote. Stable, and if you can live with the documented missing features then its fine for day to day usage.

in my opinion mcr3.2 b5 is the best !!!

i tried almost everything floating around but settled for this --- mcr is the best

andrews vanilla is fastest on hero. but it latest issues of bluetooth & scrollbar keeping me down on that rom.

I switch a lot (more than I want, to be honest) but now I try to stick to AychTeeSee's Vanilla Android 3.01. for at least a week! It's the fastest one with all the hardware (except trackball) that I use working.

Even you could try out AOSP Eclair 2.1 r4, even that's very stable and good in overall performance.

Aych tee see's 2.1 .. & waiting the 3.1 ver to come out ! .. some bugs @ [3.0.1] to be fixed !

I'm stuck at MoDaCo 3.0 but i'm looking forward to try Aychteesee 3.0.1 after he fixes some bugs.

I think Paul's rom is the standard in terms of stability and speed, but Aychteesee is a promising cook!

Keep up the good work both of you guys ;)

MCR 3.1 but I find it very slow so I'm considering trying out one of the 2.X ROMs until we get the official update. I'm just debating weather I can be bothered with a wipe ;)

+1 for SenseHero. I'm typically not a fan of custom themes -- even this one has a few quirks -- but it's one of the better ones out there. Also, graphics are VERY smooth, perhaps even smoother than MCR 3.2b5.

I'm using a custom 1.5 Sense ROM that I built for myself. Uses teknologist, compcache at a lower rate, excess apps removed, a2sd and Desire wallpapers and a few other tweaks and touches that I wanted. Runs a lot smoother than MCR for me.

It's a work in progress, but I guess it'll end soon when 2.1 comes out.

MCR 3.1 with latest radio. Fast and reliable.

Started using 3.2 Beta 5 but found that Co-Pilot would not run...

MCR 3.1 with autokiller... works like a charm, not a single problem and everything runs smooth. Using Eclair theme

We've been over this with him in another thread a while back, he doesn't care.

Paul should just ban him from the forums. He most likely just warezed it.

It's donate and paul shows his appreciation by letting you test the beta ROMs before the final is released to everyone else.
