Guest JONBOMBO Posted February 9, 2010 Report Posted February 9, 2010 (edited) I've set myself up for getting a different by having enough replacements. Now they offered to send me an HTC Touch Pro 2 to help end my "issues" with my Omnia. I really do like my Omnia, a lot. Just time for a change. And since im loving my current ROM, the M2D only from Waremike, this phone should be pretty good for me, yeah? But where do i go now? This wonderful site doesn't seem to have much info. Why is that? Is this not a good phone? I can't just pull it out of the box and use it. Whats my next step after getting it? Where does the tweaking begin? Any help and suggestions are greatly appreciated. Go to XDA they have everything you could want for HTC phones. They have a forum set up for Touch Pro 2. Just curious, did they replace this with a Touch Pro 2 via insurance?

No insurance ever used, just call tech support and be very nice on the phone and dont talk to them like the "know nothings" that they are. I've been plotting this even carefully for some time. Just gotta say the right thing. I have my 4th omnia...all free and sent overnight shipping...and now that a friend just got the O2, i couldn't take it anymore. I had to play the final move in my plan. I just got my current i910 2-weeks ago, i was gonna wait at least a month to finish my plan, but i just couldnt take it anymore ;) Not sure if i get to keep this one or not? Generally they send me just the phone. I keep my battery and back cover and put them on the new one It worked flawlessly. "Well, we dont want to keep sending you phones you're having problems with, soo....." They first were gonna let me upgrade early. Which i didn't want for 2 reasons. 1. It costs money 2. I want to be able to get the Nexus One when it comes out. So they offered me the Touch Pro 2 and a car charger...since my omnia one wont work. Since I LOVE the HTC OS, i figured that seemed fair. Guest JONBOMBO Posted February 9, 2010 Report Posted February 9, 2010 (edited) High Tech Computer...Is that really HTC? If so, i love it! First one had the dreaded screen align endless loop...which is a noted and documented problem that Verizon has forwarded to Samsung. Its nice to know that they at least recognize some of these issues that we're having Next one lost screen sensitivity. Then i got the endless loop of screen align again. I really love my i910 when it works. I was really hoping i could get an O2 out of them, but im pretty excited for my new "High Tech Computer" There are certainly some knowledgeable people in tech support...not all of them tho. Way better than talking with customer service, thats for sure! Edited February 9, 2010 by JONBOMBO
