Guest chrisnic0 Posted February 9, 2010 Report Posted February 9, 2010 Hi guys, Just noticed that there is static noise coming from the speaker all the time, is anyone else having this problem?? Its not massively loud but its audible from 30cm or so Cheers Chris
Guest blaze23 Posted February 9, 2010 Report Posted February 9, 2010 YES! i thought i was the only one. the only solution ive been able to find is to kill all the tasks, then go to homescreen, and hold down the home button. that usualy keeps it quite untill i open up an app again. weird...
Guest starkos Posted February 10, 2010 Report Posted February 10, 2010 (edited) I used to get this a lot on older roms (pre December Update), but I've now had it a couple of times just recently where I couldn't stop it at all! I woke up in the middle of the night and noticed it but couldn't stop it, by morning the phone had switched off with the battery dead ;) Although for the last couple of days the phone has been dying overnight so not sure if it's the static draining battery or something else... Guest _melchett Posted February 10, 2010 Report Posted February 10, 2010 I sometimes get this (very very rarely), as suggested its worth killing some tasks that might do it. Also try briefly playing some music through the speaker, once it stops the phone tends to realise there is no need to have the speaker on.
Guest twe Posted February 10, 2010 Report Posted February 10, 2010 I get this with some apps like LockBot so don't use them anymore. Also the speaker remains static when you are listening to music via bluetooth stereo headphones - known bug heard it since November.
Guest chrisnic0 Posted February 11, 2010 Report Posted February 11, 2010 yeah i think its chewing my battery, i get it at least twice a week, running 1.7 vanilla
Guest David Horvath Posted February 12, 2010 Report Posted February 12, 2010 Same here, i had problems with a music player, when not playing music, but having the widget on screen, it kept the speaker on.
