Maybe shutdown -r ???

No.

That's not a command, I think.

Gscript has a default "reboot" script, which doesn't work. I get "not permitted", just like when entering manually "reboot".

Is this modaco spesific?

Nice tip, thanks!

There's an app that's supposed to do via a widget it but when I tired it didn't work. I forget the name but you have to pay for it.

That felt suspiciously like a reset and not a proper shutdown. If it is not a proper shutdown, it could screw up your filesystems.

You need su/Superuser Permissions to run reboot.

A strange thing I have seen on some ROM's is that just typing 'reboot' alone doesn't do anything, but 'reboot now' does the trick...

Just "reboot" (without the quotes) works trough ADB.

yeah, that's the weird thing.

The fact you need to type su beforehand suggests you're running a stock kernel which may be the issue., although as it's a separate binary I can't think how.

And by "doesn't work" what do you mean? Does it give an error or do nothing at all?

Sorry for megabump.

When I run the "reboot" command I get "stderr: not permitted".

This doesn't happen in 2.1 roms I have tried.
