I'm new to the whole WinMo thingie as I was a nokia maniac for some reason... I was told at the store that I get a free upgrade to windows 6.5 for my omnia II but I have to go to another store which told me I should leave it for 2 days so I refused and told them i can do it myself , having read an article about using the NEW PC studio for upgrading my phone... The New Pc studio recognise my phone as omnia I8000 (000-0000-0000) and when I try to see updates for it , I got an error saying the device is not supported... Is there anyway to upgrade my windows to 6.5 ?!! my CSC is I8000XSGIJ4... thanks in advance ;)

Is there anyway to upgrade my windows to 6.5 ?!! my CSC is I8000XSGIJ4... thanks in advance :( I would say best bet would be to have a look at Secany's post http://www.modaco.com/content/i8000-omnia-...om-feb-10-roms/ I dont know about phone from UAE but I can tell you that Samsung in Australia is really dragging their feet getting the Australian Regional update out (people have been told approx 2 weeks by Samsung going all the way back to early December).

It was only the first release that had 6.1 installed. As far as I am aware there is no official update releasaed by Samsung only the leaked factory releases that you can find here. Also the customised variations can be found here as well. Be careful with flashing and check that if you do it yourself will you still be covered by your warranty?
