WiFi energy management - Hilarious

I was wondering what to my battery happened and did some tests. I was clear about that if I enable WiFi 24/7 my battery would drain ... BUT 23 percent points draining within 11 hours standby use is a kind of ridiculous.

Same test new game ... disabled WiFi, result after 11 hours 3 percent points less battery.

I did read that Android 2.1 does have an other energy management, does somebody know if this infects somehow the WiFi module of the Hero? Or does anybody know which WiFi module is build in the Hero and/or Nexus 1?
