Help With battery meter recalibration

I got a used i910 from Ebay. The battery said "warning low battery, please charge accordins to owners manual."

I bought a new battery off ebay, it was from china, 2 for $3. They didn't work. The voltage meter show about 2.8v.

I bought another from ebay at $29, it was blue and grey like the one that came with the phone. It didn't work.

I went to batteries plus and got their battery. it powers the phone and it runs for quite some time, but it always says the battery is low.

As a result of this warning, when it is not plugged in, I cannot turn on wifi or use the camera, although I can make calls and surf indefinitely.

The grey battery we checked in the store it was 4v. The Batteries Plus battery is 3.8v.

It seems the problem is that it is not able to properly meter the battery. Is there anything I can do to get it to recalibrate the battery reading? I am

in for about $120 for the phone, and 70 in batteries so far. Should I try to buy another used phone? Or just give up.

Any ideas would be appreciated. I am trying to get this for my wife to replace the tmobile prepaid because she uses them up and has to buy more all the time. So far it has been about 3 months of messing around and waiting for batteries to arrive from china and whatnot.

I tried S2U2, but it also reads the same as the built in meter.

Yeah, I have an advice: Quit buying the batteries at ebay! Buy an original batterie. They go for 20 Euro/30-40 Dollars. What do you expect from a chinese battery?

How do I get original battery? have the Verizon store order it is the best/only way? Or do I have to buy from Samsung?

One more detail:

I think it chirps only when the battery actually is low. When it is running fine and only thinks it's low, it is not chirping! That's weird.

I think the second one i got is a samsung. it is grey and blue. it seems more like something wrong with the phone.

The ROM version is BJ28.
