Guest HelloDave Posted February 4, 2003 Report Posted February 4, 2003 MIDI files don't work very well (if at all) on the SPV; you need to convert them to wavs. The SPV was supposed to support polyphonic MIDIs but it doesn't even come close; that's why all the supplied tones are monophonic (and crap!).
Guest bobroberts Posted February 4, 2003 Report Posted February 4, 2003 The SPV does indeed support polyphonic MIDI files bu these are Type 0 Format only. And to be fair, its implementation of that is less than great because it distorts the speaker too easily. But it can be done and to prove the point I wrote one it's called Dance Poly 1 and can be downloaded from here http://www.haylo.co.uk/spv enjoy bobroberts
Guest The Futures Bright Posted February 4, 2003 Report Posted February 4, 2003 URL not quite right Bob?, File Not Found. ;)
Guest Pidder Posted February 4, 2003 Report Posted February 4, 2003 These converters might work for midi to wav: Wingroove: http://www.cc.rim.or.jp/~hiroki/english/ MIDInight Express: http://www.polyhedric.com/software/mn/index.html
Guest bobroberts Posted February 4, 2003 Report Posted February 4, 2003 sorry about the missing file... it's late and shouldn't be here  it's those damn red folders ;)
