Hero - rooting/fonts installation

Hi all,

I'd like to install Arabic and Hebrew fonts on the hero. There is one detailed tutorial online - it is though kinda old and makes use of an sdk which is no longer available to download. Plus, the instructions are for windows.

The question is: what would be the simplest way to go about and install the fonts. Obviously, the android version is 1.5. I'll be using linux to root the device and install the fonts.

If you could give just a partial answer concerning the rooting procedure, it'll also be very cool, as I cannot seem to find good/clear instructions to get it done.

Any help would be really greatly appreciated.

I've installed the custom rom as described here in the forum and applied the Hebrew pack. Flawless - thumbs up, thanks!
