Samsung Media Player - File Locations

Hello people!!!

Thanks for having such a forum to help guys like me!

My problem: Samsung media player searches for media almost everytime it is opened, and it shows unwanted audio files (such as ringtones and alarms/alerts) in the list of music. Is there any way to tell it to search in a given folder only? i.e: "/my storage/my music" - i am having Omnia II i8000

thanks.

Off hand as I have not tested it myself there may be a registry tweak to work around this. Something similar is available for the photo album as found in the tweaks post in the i8000 section of the site.

Samsung unfortunately were very sloppy with the ROM.

This as well as the non standard resolution for video format has promted me to use TCPMP instead, this way it plays everything I throw at it and encodes in a standard 800x480 format.

Thanks, i will try to find reg tweak then.

If anyone comes across a solution, pls let me know.

I also have installed S2U2m but each time it activates, underlying it is the original (samsung/wm6.5 ?) lock screen, so i have to slide to unlock twice!

i remember vaguely there was a similar comment in this or another post, but for the life of me i cant find it! can someone pls guide me there or respond...

thanks

SORRY - I FOUND THE ANSWER TO THAT!

FAQ: Frequently Asked Questions

- What I have to setup so that I don't have to unlock the screen twice if I install S2U2?

- How to disable the Wm 6.5 lock screen?

You have to disable the wm 6.5 lock screen: Samsung settings - Display and light - Lock screen
