sd card problems playing music

I have recently changed my sd card, held the home and power button to enter menu and partitioned card that way. all seemed to be working fine till I plugged the phone into the pc, copied my music across to the music folder. now i go into music player and it says No music found. Tap to go to the music application. so I tap and it says sd card missing. If I go in ES file explorer I can select and play songs but only 1 at a time so when the song loads to play I can see the 3 lines in the bottom left but it wont let me click it and that icon soon disappears. any help would be great thanks. :D
