Pulse call quality

Is it just me or does anyone else here find that the Pulse is very poor for call quality? I use the phone for about 1hr+ a day and this is definately the worst phone I've had for call quality. Few examples..

- Other person finds it very hard to hear what I am saying. This is the case with and without the suppiled hands free. I have tried a Nokia handsfree but its pretty much the same.

- I know someone else with a Pulse and I do find it hard to hear them....sounds very mumbled and not clear at all.

- If I touch my Pulse whilst on the phone the person on the other end hears very loud mobile interference (the type when you hold your phone close to a speaker) and on top of that I cannot hear them screaming at me to sort my phone out!!

Overall this is a great phone but the basic features really let it down which is a real shame. I wouldn't be happy had I paid £180 for the phone but paying £100 makes me feel a bit better.

Funny, I was thinking exactly the same thing. I have experienced the second point more than the first, but I've never heard the third.

Glad its not just me and my friend's Pulse! Apparently the December update improved call quality....can't think how it was before the update! Might drop Huawei an email about it if I get a chance.

I tend to use the supplied earphones - it's fine then, crystal clear, so perhaps that is a potential fix?

I find if I don't have the pulse at the right angle then people can't hear me properly.I always get people telling me that can't hear what im saying!

i think it's because the mic is at the wrong place, and you're covering it with your palm. that part of the phone is definitely not the best regarding ergonomy.

That is correct. It's quite easy to forget this while you're on the phone!

I have the same problem but I get told I sound like a robot when I'm talking and the sound quality of the person calling isn't the best.

I have noticed though that the quality vastly improves when using a bluetooth headset.

as regards the position of the mic I think the phone must have been designed by a lefthanded person who had no regards to everyone else who predominantly use the right hand (only joking as I don't really know the reason)
