Hey, sorry for starting another thread.

I know we're going to be getting an update in a couple of weeks(months) but oh well, i'm still going =]

I've written what I did and what changes I made to get it to compile (no, I don't think it does work yet)

See the file attached.

I've also uploaded the zImage I got out of it.

There are amazingly few errors...

I have ~100 more in my Hero kernel :D

I think we can mange to compile the kernel with accel driver without errors... If you still want to :D

Could you maybe upload your midified source?

Then I could start to edit the accel driver.

Greetings,

BigBear

To be honest, i'd rather get it booting without for the moment. Only because it's not even doing that so far, so i'd rather take out support of such things as radio bluetooth and wifi just to see if we can get to a homescreen of some sort of rom ...

I have a 2.6.29 version compiling with no errors now. Just to see if it will work. Not sure yet. Will upload the zImage soon. It should boot using the ramdisk.img and system.img from the SDK?

EDIT: zImage attached. What i've done here, is looked specifically at the Huawei drivers and included them. Cutting out the ones that really aren't needed to get it booting. (vibrate, accel, camera etc). Still not working =[

How far do you get/ when does the phone reboot?

Have you tried logcat or , maybe better in this case, bugreport?

I'll maybe try it too tomorrow. I think there are more hw specific changes in the kernel - not only those that are in the driver directory. I guess there are still bigger changes in mach-msm etc. The fs might also be different. Anyway good work!

:(

It freezes at the t-mobile logo still. I grabbed a couple of the makefile and kconfig changes in mach-msm too. Like battery, vibrate (which I took out again) and something else. didn't think of the fs. It was only a quick job really. I am doing shift work as well as uni at the moment so I should have been sleeping really =P Oh well, might give it a try in the next couple of days. New version soon anyway.

Btw, we're now up to : http://www.huaweidevice.com/worldwide/down...;fileName=34676

BTW I tried to download the file from the link - and it does kinda work, but the file is named "null" and only 1.5MB large :(

What is that?
