Guest mkzee Posted February 16, 2010 Report Posted February 16, 2010 I have noticed that I can hear continous noise from speaker (sssssssssssssssssss) same as if you turn the volume to 100 on an amp and tweeter produces some noise. Previously I found this issue when i used mixzing lite and even closed it (using task killer), these days i am using Sketch online and i have to restart the phone to stop this noise once started. Has anybody faced such an issue?
Guest xarxiusxiii Posted February 16, 2010 Report Posted February 16, 2010 I have, yes, and I found opening an application that plays sound, or opening the last few applications you opened, then killing them usually fixed it for me. There was the occasional time when I would have to reboot though, and that is, for me, the only drawback to this phone. I've also left the phone for a minute or two and it would sort itself out, but that might just be luck.

Highly distracting, but the speaker is already tinny anyway. Perhaps when I get bored one day I'll take it apart and attempt to replace it with something a bit higher quality.

Guest Daniel Williamson Posted May 8, 2010 Report Posted May 8, 2010 100% fix !!! bash it with a hammer :P Dan
Guest Nerf Posted May 10, 2010 Report Posted May 10, 2010 Yeah I also get this If I have my phone on silent and a message comes through + plus other things
Guest summerlove Posted May 10, 2010 Report Posted May 10, 2010 I get this when I get a message on silent mode too. I actually kinda like it... it's like a really really quiet non silent mode.
Guest eckengucker1 Posted May 10, 2010 Report Posted May 10, 2010 if you're using the barcode-scanner app you'll get the same sound. guess its a feature ;-)
Guest Alsajosora Posted May 10, 2010 Report Posted May 10, 2010 I only notice this when my screen turns off, after a few seconds the speaker starts to hiss, albeit quietly. This has happened with the stock T-mobile rom, the 1.7MDC AND the 1.7U8320 rom, so I would say it is a hardware issue rather than a rom one....
Guest Bice Posted May 10, 2010 Report Posted May 10, 2010 When I turn on the alarm, I recognise the same problem.
Guest Alex III Posted May 11, 2010 Report Posted May 11, 2010 100% fix !!! bash it with a hammer :P Dan Yeah, man, I tried it already... Maybe another solution? :D
Guest shovon Posted May 11, 2010 Report Posted May 11, 2010 I wonder if this has anything to do with why the battery seems to drain so quickly. The speaker running constantly is bound to have an effect. Wish we could find a way to stop this process.

This is a serious problem, Huawei must fix it, can somebody send an email or something?

The speaker is noisy when it's on, but it always switches off after a short time.

I have found a solution Do not close with task manager those apps which produces sounds For example: If i stop the music, the noise will sound for 3-5 second, but if i kill with the task the noise will stay permanently until a reboot. The irony was that i was using task manager to get a better battery life but since i dont it last almost a day longer

Guest dzopg Posted June 1, 2011 Report Posted June 1, 2011 This actually is not problem. If you turn off audible selection noise will disapear. When this option is turned on android keep speaker turned on for faster feedback I guess. So turning off audible selction worked in my case.
Guest Casterina Posted June 3, 2011 Report Posted June 3, 2011 I get the same issue, i get it when i turn on GPS or something similar :D
