Hello

as im a new user here id like to say hello to all of you :D

and also ask couple questions about android as im going to upgrade my nokia next month and i never used android before and so far the only phones that draw my attention is htc hd2 and htc desire and heres a list of my observations so far:

hd2 (+)

- know the interface as i used it quite a bit before and i like it a lot

- winmo6.5 with sense which wasnt lagging at all as some people might say

- great screen even tho only 65k colours

etc :D

- found some nice offers on 1year contract

(-)

- damn huge - not too comfortable

- probably very easy to snap in the pocket and break if dropped

- camera quality + it sticks out = easy to damage?

- battery life

desire + android + sense

(+)

- interface looks good, responsive etc

- great amoled screen with 16mln colours

- smaller than hd2 in size keeping great processing power and ram

etc

and here comes a big question, i dont know much about android, could anyone tell me its key features and advantages as well as disadvantages and what could possibly be improved? also which one of those u guys think is better? does android have support or apps for stuff that WinMo handles? Office? Flash? does it have multitasking? as i love listening to music and ie browse the web so its pretty important, do u guys think it will be possible to install winmo 6.5 on the desire?

is actually google trustful ? ive kind of lost my trust to google after the rumours that they read peoples emails and stuff :S

thanks

One simple answer is do you want a device that is established and does not want tweaking unless you want to, or do you want a device that is still in it's early development stages but is open to constant adjustments with ROM builds etc.

For me personally Android is still too early on and I do not have the time to get it into a device that would be usable for me.

I'll stick with ym Omnia2 and Windows Mobile for now.

im not quite sure to be honest, i did have se k750i before nd used to hack it and flash it a lot to make it better and it didnt bother me really, although as i said i never used android and i dont have a clue why some people simply love it, and ie want android inside hd2

i really like winmo 6.5 but im slightly concerned that at some point it might start lagging and also about the later support as win7 is nearly there(which looks crap to me and i dont think i could ever upgrade to it)

but before i make my choice id like to know whats out there so when i actually buy something ill be sure that i bought the best device available at time and for the money :D
