No Layar on HTC Desire ROM Marketplace?

I have been told in the past that the marketplace does block certain apps from certain devices. Since installing the HTC Desire Alpha 7 ROM I can't find Layar at all. I get one result from searching for it and it's a Serbian Doctor application...

i'm having the same issue with a calorie counter program. Glad to see that I'm not crazy.

As I say, I know it's a known issue (hence why some apps that require a certain SDK level won't show up on certain phones), I experienced it with a game that someone on a 1.6 Android told me was brilliant but I could not download it at all! I'm wondering if anyone knows exactly how this works and what the Desire declares itself to the market place as.
