Guest martijnvl Posted February 23, 2010 Report Posted February 23, 2010 My t-mobile pulse does not react to the connection of a micro-usb cable. When i insert the cable it just doesn't react or do anything, not while turned or off. This happens while connected to a computer or a charger. I tried different cables and restarting the device, but to no effect. The cable I normally use was attracted to the magnet of my laptop's screen before inserting it in the pulse, maybe this has something to do with it? Does anybody have any idea how to fix this problem or do I just have to go back to t-mobile?
Guest david_dawkins Posted February 23, 2010 Report Posted February 23, 2010 How loose does the USB socket appear when you plug the charger in? If it looks at all loose, it may be broken. Take it back to T-Mobile and have them send it off for repair, as I did.
Guest martijnvl Posted February 23, 2010 Report Posted February 23, 2010 I don't think that is the problem because it's not more loose then normal, thanks for the reply anyway. Anymore suggestions?
Guest Nextmick Posted February 28, 2010 Report Posted February 28, 2010 Had the same problem. Over time the cable would "wiggle" more and more when connected to the micro USB port. Apparently micro USB cables are designed to take the pressure of the socket and place it more on the cable. The quality of the USB cable that comes with the pulse is very basic there are 2 little teeth that hook the cable in place which over time and use got pushed into the connector - reducing it's connect and making the cable feel loose. I ended up going to Maplin and purchasing a 10 pound micro USB cable which I noticed had a more secure connection and resolved all my charging and data transfer issues and no more "wiggle" Mickey
