Error when trying to perform nand backup

Hey guys I hope im posting on the right topic. I am currently using the latest Cyanogen rom and am wanting to flash the Desire rom to my N1 but when I try to perform nand backup via recovery I get:

Error : Run 'nandroid-mobile.sh' via adb!

Im fairly newbie so could anyone explain in steps on how to perform this? any help big thanks

Boot phone to recovery

Connect phone to pc

Make sure usb debugging is enabled and you have the usb drivers installed

Open a cmd prompt

cd to the sdk files

run 'adb shell'

Inside this shell run 'nandroid-mobile.sh'

Sometimes a reboot can make this work on the phone as well, without adb...
