This is my Cook Rom

Removed apps:Community, Connected Home, Goolge Map, Podcast, Smart Search,Smart reader,Smart Converter,

Smart Memo, myphone, Msn weather, Msn money, IPSECVPN,Skybox,SampleMusic,AutoUpdate, Streaming

Player,LiveSearch some Widgets und..und und ...

Bugs in samsung dialer.

Tips:Go to "\HKLM\SYSTEM\GWE\" "cxVScr" value from 15 to 0

One question dose this also have the Samsung Program bugs like the WinMo 6.5.3 ROM form ronald-mcdrive ? It would like to use it for a friend that has problems with the official ROM form Samsung. Is it possible to test Costume ROM's on my PC like a SDK ? Oh and a English version would be also not a bad idea if it is not to time cosuming :(

if this question refers to the auto-close bug (when multitasking and ram gets too low), I'd be very interested in this as well :-)

and: are the preview pics from camera etc bad (seems to be the case for all 6.5.x roms?)?

PS: one more question: are the removed apps available as cabs? i don't use most of them, but a few (like smart reader, smart converter, connected home - maybe even streaming player can actually be quite handy :-)

PPS: the 71mb free ram in the screenshot: is this the amount straight after start-up?

I really like this rom.

WM 6.5.3 is definatly better than 6.5 and with your rom i have more ram available,

but not quite as much as in your screenshots.

Are there any other tweaks you applied in ordr to free some more ram?

I've installed this ROM yesterday and found some bugs:

• There is no Landscape mode. When I slide out the keyboard, the screen stays in Portrait.
  
• In Samsung SMS application the text is scrambled (see attachment)
  
• The power settings do not apply. I've set the backlight off after 30 sec, switch off after 1 min, but the phone ignores the settings

but:

1.activesync USB really does not work for me either, even worse: once it fails while connected, you need to reboot, since no applications would launch any longer

so also no connection with mymobiler or to exchange files via cable, unfortunate. did you change some VM settings for the activesync DLLs? maybe too aggressive, and I can change some back in registry?

3. as with all other WM 6.5.3 roms, memory fills up quite quickly, and would not be released until reboot

4. when you got Tomtom 7.9 open, you cannot open contacts any longer, nor Opera (both open, but don't do the job until you close TomTOm - also common with other 6.5.3 ROMS on this device in this forum), IE works, btw.

5. the rom seems to be very slow at time, maybe just an impression.

so, as other users reported, point 1, the USB connection thing is the most critical, nearly a showstopper, do you have any advice how to get it fixed?
