Guest ieon Posted February 24, 2010 Report Posted February 24, 2010 Im very new to andoid (last friday)... and have jumped into unlocking, rooting, and flashing roms... Im running a nexus one unlocked, performed root, then have flashed several different roms, wiping between each flash... i had some network problems with sense alpha 7 & 9 and have reverted back to kspec custom rom... now my torch app and setcpu no longer work, stating insufficient permissions... can anyone please advise? thank you
Guest natehinn Posted February 24, 2010 Report Posted February 24, 2010 I'm actually having the same problem. I just flashed back to my stock nexus rom, but now my SU page just hangs, entirely black. Same when I try opening any program needing su permissions. I have the SU icon, but I don't know why its hanging. I've wiped and reflashed to no avail. Maybe its my recovery image? Im using amon ra's 1.5.3...any tips would be cool...
Guest natehinn Posted February 24, 2010 Report Posted February 24, 2010 Just an update, I fixed my problem by reinstalling superboot. Don't know if that helps, but thats what worked for me.
Guest xkonni Posted February 24, 2010 Report Posted February 24, 2010 Just an update, I fixed my problem by reinstalling superboot. Don't know if that helps, but thats what worked for me. when loosing root after a restoring a nandroid backup, this is usually a permission problem. Run this to fix the permissions: adb shell chmod 4755 /system/xbin/su
