Guest lexuz Posted February 24, 2010 Report Posted February 24, 2010 Hello u guys, I have tomtom 7 working on my omnia ( thanx weirdo!!!) but i do also use igo8. The problem is that if i use igo8 and then exit the program and use tomtom 7 i can't select com3 of the nmea receiver or the internal one, after a softreset com3 is back in the option and internal receiver works again. It seems that something in igo8 conflits with tomtom 7 but i don't know what.... Anybody a clue??? :(

Guest Vajira Posted March 1, 2010 Report Posted March 1, 2010 anybody know how to convert Garmin maps to tomtom or igo format?
Guest xzyk Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 Hi, I too have exactly the same setup and same problem. I think that IGo sets up a virtual port which it communicates over (I think you can see this under the GPS settings). This virtual port gets assigned as Port0 but obviously in reality it must point to a real port and if the internal GPS port was previously set to 3 then virtual port 0 will point to real port 3. I believe (although I do not have evidence to back it up) that this may be the problem. If after starting IGo you then go into TT, port3 is no longer available because it is probably now reference internally as port0 which TT cannot display as the software is probably unaware that a port 0 can actually even exist. :(
Guest lexuz Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 i'm not very bright @ this windows stuff but it does sounds logic (to me at least) maybe we can find a way to make this port visible to tomtom???
