Lost my contact list

I found yesterday that I cannot see contact names appearing in call log and found that I am not left with any contact in my contact list other thn my own contact. Dont know how these all were deleted.

I remember that i was trying to configure my google apps account on the other day and cleared the data for gmail etc but I am 100% sure that i didnot remove any contact information.

Has anybody lost their contact list too and was it due to google apps or some other reason?

I found that when my phone performed a sync for the first time it copied all of my contacts and placed them in my Google contacts online under a folder called My Contacts. They disappeared from my phone so I was obviously worried...but they turned out to be under My Contacts.

To confirm this go to Settings -> Edit Sync Groups and see if My Contacts is disabled. If it is disabled simply enable it and you should see your contacts.

I'm using MCR 1.7 btw, not sure if it's the same behaviour on T-Mobile ROM

This happened to me too.

I just switched off the phone, put out the battery and put it back in.

After a reboot everthing was fine again :(

Thanks BigBear, I rebooted my phone but it didnot make any difference. So, I had to sync it with outlook to get my 400+ contact list back.
