Guest Mike Mc Posted February 26, 2010 Report Posted February 26, 2010 So, after unlocking your T-Mobile Pulse. What is the best deal out there from the other providers for the sim card. The T-Mobile deal of £10 a month for unlimited internet is excellent, but obviously with it being T-Mobile the coverage is poor. So what other sim cards have you guys tried in your unlocked Pulse and what are the prices, etc.? Thanks.
Guest mark2410 Posted February 26, 2010 Report Posted February 26, 2010 3 150mb of data every time you top up and you can buy unlimited for £5 a month
Guest robot1000 Posted February 26, 2010 Report Posted February 26, 2010 I went for the o2 simplify 12 month plan (700 minutes 1600 texts ( for £20 a month plus got £100 back from topcashback bringing it down to roughly £11.50 pm (includes unlimited internet)
Guest jmmL Posted February 26, 2010 Report Posted February 26, 2010 The only option for me is O2 (I can only get coverage at home with O2). You currently get unlimited texts and unlimited internet (actually 500MB) if you top up £15 per month.
Guest JingleManSweep Posted February 26, 2010 Report Posted February 26, 2010 Depends on how you use it. I only really use the internet, and not much voice/text usage... The standard T-Mobile PAYG SIM I got with my Pulse is great. You can also topup £20 for 6 months internet access, so that's £40 per year.

Do you know if you can pay for this 6 month bolt on by using your credit? I am on the T-Mobile £10 per month but I dont make a lot of calls so I will build up quite a bit of credit. Just trying to work out the best way of doing it

Just trying to work out the best way of doing it Yes, the £20 comes from your credit so, if you don't make any calls add £10 near end of the month for 2 successive months getting the next month internet free then at end of 2nd free month use the £20 credit to buy next 6 months so effectively you get 8 months for £20 ... having said that, I couldn't be bothered to do it this way so just put £20 on my phone then bought the 6 months straight away! Guest Spooke Posted February 26, 2010 Report Posted February 26, 2010 If your a Paygo person, £20 for 6 months internets a bargin, plus u get some extra top up bonuses like free texts or extra topup etc. (T-Mobile btw)

But it is a bargain, and well worth doing. So to answer the original post - even though you've got an unlocked Pulse, stick with T-Mobile for the best web deal on PAYG
Guest Evil Kaz Posted February 27, 2010 Report Posted February 27, 2010 I've been looking for a sim only deal for my N1 currently on O2 Simplicity £20pm (600min/1200 text + data). I don't really need that many minutes or texts and although O2 has served me well im looking for a network with better reception at home/work. I've found a Vodafone MVNO called Talk Mobile who offer 400min/400 texts + data for £15pm which I've been very tempted by. I've got to give them a call to clarify what their "unlimited data" really means but otherwise its the best deal I've found. Here's a link to their tariffs.

The reception for them is atrocious.
