Missing HTC IME installed on newly backed ROM

nOObe here.. First off I would like to thank Paul and all of those behind this site and the 1.7 and Superboot.. Your efforts are much appreciated and

So I installed a freshly baked custom 1.7 ROM Paul's Kitchen (and it friggen ROCKS!!) and specified HTC IME. The issue at hand is that I don't see it anywhere on my device. I understand that its supposed to be installed to system partition? I should be able to locate if I search with a file manager (Astro) correct?

Any thoughts?

I used the pre-baked ROM available in the first post - and I also had no HTC IME.

After looking around more, I flashed with the update .zip in this post from Paul, and bingo, HTC IME. Works fine here!

Doesn't explain why it's not working in ROMs from the Kitchen, of course =P
