If it's just the framework, you probably only need to replace "status bar" images.

Guest goa200 Posted February 27, 2010 Report Posted February 27, 2010 Did you change the services.jar? I just pulled the one from themetemplate that changes text from black to white

Guest natostanco Posted September 20, 2010 Report Posted September 20, 2010 (edited) is this abandoned? I would really like a transparent status bar Edited September 20, 2010 by natostanco
Guest Flexxy Posted September 20, 2010 Report Posted September 20, 2010 is this abandoned? I would really like a transparent status bar Well i'm pretty sure that Goa is not working on it since he sold his liquid a while ago and bought a Desire..
Guest TechnoLover Posted September 20, 2010 Report Posted September 20, 2010 (edited) I could work on it because I'm currently working on modifying etc. And i need some ideas  And when somebody's interested in I could work on :) But I think there's a problem when you open an app, you see at the background wallpaper, that could be a point which is annoying Edited September 20, 2010 by TechnoLover
Guest natostanco Posted September 20, 2010 Report Posted September 20, 2010 (edited) true :s maybe a transparent win areo style would cut the difference from too much transparency  if it's possible :) Edited September 20, 2010 by natostanco
Guest TechnoLover Posted September 21, 2010 Report Posted September 21, 2010 (edited) aero style is not possible at the moment because you have to blur the part of the wallpaper which is under the status bar, it's possible to create a semi-transparent statusbar where the wallpaper can look through, but that's all I think =/ EDIT: Transparency will be a big problem as you can see in the top of the picture =/ the date is an overlay and not a change o.O also i'm not able to get transparency when everythings normal because the notification bar has a background color and I don't know how to change it now, maybe i find something to change it  When you're typing your PIN it looks wonderful but in the normal not, dammit :) Edited September 21, 2010 by TechnoLover
Guest natostanco Posted September 21, 2010 Report Posted September 21, 2010 ouch that date thing is pretty ugly :) hope you find a way through the notification bar
Guest Apocangel Posted September 21, 2010 Report Posted September 21, 2010 The status bar and the "date bar" are two diferent images. If you want to have a transparent statusbar you will NOT be able to have a transparent "date bar" You just need to create a BLACK (or other color) "date bar" just to be able to have a transparent status bar. This is because when you pull down the bar a second image is loaded on top of the normal status bar. If both are transparent then you will have the overlapping problem. I know it doesnt look as good as you want but you should definitelly make the datebar opaque. The only other solution is for you to modify the code either in Services.jar or framework-res.apk ( not sure which one) to unload the status bar whenever you pull down the "date bar".
