Just cooked a new rom...

i have finally plucked up the courage and some time to cook a rom

However , i was wondering if there was any actual way to test cooked rom apart from flashing my omnia with the rom

( cause its my first time cooking a rom.. i am afraid i might screw up )

Is there an emulator of sorts to test out cook roms?

First make sure you have complete confidence in your work. Backup all your data, then cross your fingers and try it yourself. If you don't have any available unit for testing then post it here but warn them to backup their phone first but commit to continue developing you're work.

Hello fellow countryman, good to see you here!

I'm not aware of any emulator that allows one to test roms, but if you have added the eboot correctly, there shouldn't be any major problems.

i am still in the mid of testing my rom ( lots of bugs to iron out ) before i upload it here :(

Edit : just uploaded the rom over at adrive

Short note bout the rom...

Its a clean rom built from 28232

it includes showcase e-natives

and most of the omnia light apps.

including the omnia light online widget ..

Thats bout all for now till i can prove the rom is working..

hm..i never really using the entering pin no. when setting up the phone..

hm..you could try setting up the phone first..than entering the pin later in the settings..
