Cannot enable 3G after removing Locale 1.0.3

Hello,

My locale 1.0.3 has expired today so I decided to remove it. However after removing the software I cannot activate 3g.

My phone says that mobile network (3g) is on however 3g icon doesnt come on the task bar besite the coverage bars.

I did select 2g only they unselcted that and it doesnt make any diffrence. I also tried rebooting the hero numerous time

all the time it says mobile network connected but no 3g icon so I cannot browse the net.

Please advise?

solution was to reset the APN
