Guest JayFleming Posted March 1, 2010 Report Posted March 1, 2010 Hi folks, Quick newbie question for you... I'm currently on the stock T-Mobile firmware, but after it just decided to crash on me today I'm considering finally taking the plunge and going vanilla...however from what I've seen from using aHome, PandaHome etc the default Vanilla set up uses a horizontal scrolling screen layout...default of 3 screens on one row, as opposed to the T-Mobile set up of 2 rows of 3 screens. To be honest I prefer the T-Mobile version, is this set up possible on the cleaner, faster Vanilla ROMs? I know you can increase the number of screens etc but if possible I'd like to keep the grid set up... Cheers, Jay
Guest thehobnob Posted March 1, 2010 Report Posted March 1, 2010 (edited) You could always try a different home app; I use GDE which lets you set the number of home screens you want to use, I'm sure other home apps will too :( remember you get a 24hr refund window. As far as I know, none use a grid though like you say...unless someone has managed to install the T-Mobile canvas app on the vanilla rom? Edited March 1, 2010 by thehobnob
Guest JayFleming Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 Thanks thehobnob, I'll have a look at GDE
Guest Daz555 Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 Pandahome is free and lets you have more than the default 3 screen.
Guest stupidm4n Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 (edited) You can have more on tmobile home screen just place a widget below the one at bottom of screen i managed to go down 10 screens This ones only 5 but you get the idea Edited March 2, 2010 by stupidm4n
Guest JayFleming Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 I know you can increase the number of screens on both...it was more a question of the screen grid, versus the screen scroll :(
