Guest javadaba Posted March 1, 2010 Report Posted March 1, 2010 Hello, I've made a search in several forums but it seems that nobody have posted the following problem: A few days ago I've been installing applications and doing some registry clean up with the SKtools program to my OMNIA I900. Afterwards, I've notice that the talk and call key are not working for handling a call (need to use the softkeys) and also the optical d-pad is not working. I know that is not a hardware problem because if a press the d-pad the phone wakes up. I made a soft-reset but nothing. Unistall several applications but nothing. I also know that a hard reset should fix the problem but I wish to avoid this procedure. :-[ Please Help and many thanks in advance!
Guest TekkenOmnia Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 my guess is you just actually accidentally messed up the registry keys on that hard keys.. i dont know how to reconfigure that.. but lets wait for someone who will fix this for the next reply..

I think you nailed it. The best fix is apply a backup of the registry, fix the changes you made or a hard reset.
Guest javadaba Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 Thanks for the answer (not what I wished). I'll do the hardreset this weekend. I've also notice that the problem afected the Camara and volume buttons.
Guest javadaba Posted March 6, 2010 Report Posted March 6, 2010 solved by hard reset. Now restoring my data.
Guest mnegutu Posted March 6, 2010 Report Posted March 6, 2010 i've only now stumbled upon this thread. for users who are experiencing the same problem, maybe installing AEButton Plus will solve this issue. you could try remapping the buttons in this program. although i'm not sure this would fix the problem, it's worth a shot. cheers.
