Hello people ! First of all you are doing excellent job so keep up...i am a fan of your forum .

I live in Greece and received my N1 one week ago . Everything works just fine including 3G . No need to root till now cause i am satisfied with the OTA update to 2.1 .

So my problem is that i cant see paid apps tab at the android market. I ve searched around but noone gives a straight answer . Forgive me of any same topic exists . Thx for your time.

Cheers!

in Australia we have the same problem if your using the telco Optus, to get around this you must root your phone and then install the app market enabler which simulates another sim card from different telco and all paid apps will show up in market. Not sure if this is same problem you have though. worked for me in oz.

Thank you . So you are telling me that probably i have to root the device so i can see paid apps . Isnt there any patch or maybe i can change location settings to trick the device to think i live in US . I still have doubts about the benefits of rooting .

IIRC MarketEnabler requires root access.... and it will be the only way except for wiping the phone, and activating it for the first time with a Sim card from a provider where there is a paid market...

its not possible to change system files on stock phones, thats the whole point in rooting a device.
