Hi, I follow exact the what it suppose to do until the part during flashing the custom firmware, it said successful, so I choose restart the phone. During before reboot, the screen got message mention writting boot loader somethign like that.

I wait till it finish and it restart and appear a icon in the middle, I seen this before during I entering the recovery, I though it is something wrong as it stop there quite long.

So I unplug the battery, when insert back the battery, the phone is totally cannot on at all. Help!

I try below few step also not working:

- Power on = not working

- Power + low volume button = not working

- Power + Track Ball = not working

- Power + low volume button + track ball = not working

- Plugin to PC, no indicator light

- Charge using charger, no indicator light.

What shall I do now

** The phone already root, success run the Amon-Ra recovery image, I am using this Amon-Ra recovery image to flashing the ROM.

Below is the step I have done:

1. Root the phone - success.

2. Play around with fake US Operator for Market - success

3. Flash the Amon-Ra v1.62 recovery image - success

4. Logon to Amon-Ra recovery and do nandroid backup - success

5. Flash the ERE36B ROM - success

6. Flash the ERE36B / 32.26.00.24U_4.04.00.03_2 radio - FAIL, my phone die here.

I understand right that you can't enter the recovery ROM any more?

I had a quite similar problem once I updated the Radio. Thought it is dead too, but I pressed the power button and let it quite a while alone and it resolved and booted again with the new Radio installed.

Didi you try to install the new Radio via an update.zip or with fastboot?

Hope you didn't remove the battery while the phone was updating the radio. If so, I think you might have bricked your phone, at least I cannot help you here.

Ouch!!!!! I can bet my nexus itself that you were flashing the radio component when you pulled the battery. That is the biggest NO NO when flashing the radio.

You mentioned no more power or indicator lights, I am pretty sure you have a brick on your hands, I suppose the only thing to do now is to send it back to HTC/Google and see if they re-flash or replace it.

Good luck.

He mentioned no more indicator lights even if plugged in to the charger, and basing on the steps he posted, he was flashing the radio and he also mentioned that he pulled the battery out....

Than it'll be very dead and you need to hope that they will repair it without costs even if the Bootlader is unlocked.

Because I though it is done....since the Amon-RA mentioning successful, restart and then hanging there. How I know the successful not means finish. :(

I received back my Nexus One.

HTC ROCK!

My goodness! I am so suprise and happy now!

I get a brand new set! the S/N is different! wow!

What I do

- I call Malaysia HTC service center but has been inform this phone is not in services as not yet official available in Malaysia.

- Malaysia HTC informed me this phone is not under universal warranty.

- I write an email to HTC via http://www.htc.com/www/support/nexusone/contactus.aspx as I can't call Singapore 1800 from Malaysia.

- In Email, I wrote my phone can't on at all after I unplug the battery during hanging period, I feel so down as I just purchase it less than 4 days.

- I received email after around 3 hours past, requesting me sending over my faulty Nexus One to the only Singapore Service Center.

- A ticketting will be available inside the email where you need to respond, or else after 15 days the case will be auto close.

- I send over to Singapore Service Center second day afternoon alone with printed email reply from HTC web.

- The service Center taken my phone, and back cover (the battery, microSD card is returning).

- After a while, I being given a paper with Job No and being inform you can check your status same as you report before.

- Maybe due to I already bring over the printed email, the service center never asking me any question.

- Service Center informed me most probably will get fix and return the phone by next Monday.

- They provide delivered to your home / office (within Singapore area only)

- I am so suprise where I get call from my friend today as the phone already delivered.

- I am more suprise when I open up I notice it still wrapped, I immediate check the S/N and notice it was different with the box one.

My Opinion about CyanogenMod 5.0.4.1

- Smoother visual effect, nearly no more lagging issue.

- Extra call button in all contact name.

- Curve corner at Status Bar.

- Power Control Widget bar color change to cyan blue, anyway to return back, I more prefered the android green.

- Startup will change from 4 color animation to blue before success logon to phone.

- Stable than stock ROM.

- Able to install lots of Apps that required root access.

- Auto APNs setup.

- Highly recommended flash but always remember be patient and read carefully all the step, don't ever be my next victim true brick the phone.

So Happy Now I didn't flash the Radio this time since I not facing any signal issue and for SAFETY reason.

Once agains thanks for all concern and precautions and guide, at least I not happen to brick it again.

Nothing wrong with flashing the radio, from what I saw you got impatient and pulled the battery out... you were the first n1 brick on xda, that just goes to show flashing is fine if you follow the instructions...

anyways, i'm glad you learnt your lesson <_<

Ya, anyway I not going the flash the radio at the moment yet, I don't have 3G signal issue and I notice some people report this new radio is worst than previous one , some report better.

Just wait for better radio then just flash

Its great to know everything turned out fine for you. And also great to know HTC support in Singapore is solid.

I suppose that this experience teaches us all to value the virtue of patience :(

Enjoy your N1!!!

Yeah, its good news for you andrew.

For everyone else, this would be great example to get it replaced even if device is unlocked and rooted. :( :D

ps. i bare no responsibility if HTC does not give you warranty.
